Blogging here and there through the 75Hard Challenge
Day 23 felt a bit like a couple other days I’ve had. I did not, at all, want to push through my second workout. No doubt the fact that it was leg day did not help.
I procrastinated a bit but finally made my way into the workout room at around 8:35 and powered through. As it normally goes with these things, I pushed through to where I started to enjoy it. Until the lunges. I hate lunges.
This lesson is the one that I hope to have buried deep into me by the time this challenge is done: Push through, regardless.
Not just to finish a workout, but with anything important that requires resilience, persistence, consistency, and clear focus… I will push through. Regardless.
If my body doesn’t change any more than it has (down about 18 pounds since I first started on 1/1 – today is 2/9) and I learn the discipline and value of pushing through regardless where it isn’t something I have to consciously remind myself to do, then it’ll be a huge win. It’s less about pushing through for others. If there are expectations and commitments from others, I meet them and keep them. But for myself…. I want to push through, regardless, and finish.
