Grow or Be Dying

We’re all going to die. It’s unavoidable.

But while we head slowly (hopefully) toward that day, do we want to be always growing or just heading toward death?

We can approach life in two ways:

  1. We can constantly be growing.
  2. We can be dying.

An amazing thing, as humans, while I body might fail us, we can constantly be growing. We can become more and more what God created us to be.

I can get better at loving my wife and kids until I breathe my last. I can get to know God better until my eyes shut for the last time. I can be learning and trying new things. I can be working toward a mission, even if it’s a mission that will only affect a tiny little corner of the world. Heck, maybe the only thing I have to live for is being kind to a hospice nurse at that point in my life, but I can still change his or her life in a tiny way.

That’s if I’m growing. And living. Right up until the point that I die.

Choose little bits of life everyday. Choose growth.
